Deal beats high street prices
Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 8 in July 2025 as its thinnest smartwatch to date, featuring a new cushion design that the brand described as a "snug, comfortable fit". Users can access personalised coaching on sleep, running and holistic health powered by Galaxy AI energy insights.
The QVC offer undercuts other retailers, with Argos carrying the full £269 price tag and Currys selling it for £219. A newer model, the Galaxy Watch 9, launched alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in August this year, priced at £399 and £649 respectively on the Samsung website, making the Watch 8 a more budget-friendly option.
Shoppers praise comfort and features
The watch also comes in significantly cheaper than rival Apple Watch models, with the latest Series 12 and Ultra 4 priced from £369 and £749 respectively. However, newer Samsung watches do not have official pairing support for iOS, which may be a consideration for iPhone users.
One QVC shopper said in a five-star review: "Awesome device. It's comfortable, large screen, smooth UI, and most importantly, if you allow it, it promotes healthy habits in lots of fun and effective ways." Another customer agreed: "Comfortable to wear and many useful functions. Seems to be remarkably accurate so far."
A third reviewer said: "The watch was super easy to set up and I was pleasantly surprised by the elegant and minimalist design. It looks luxurious, yet I found the watch very lightweight and comfortable to wear."
Mixed feedback on battery life
Some users noted areas for improvement, with one person commenting: "Some of the features are available only for Samsung smartphone users, which is quite restrictive. The battery lasts around two days with minimum usage, which is just not enough." Another echoed: "My only dislike is the battery life; it needs charging every day, and I have removed things from the device to try and lengthen the battery life."
