Emily in Paris Ends After Season 6, Fans Devastated

Netflix viewers have been left 'irrationally devastated' after the streaming platform confirmed the end of Emily in Paris. The hit romantic drama, which first aired in 2020, quickly garnered a huge following. The fifth season landed on Netflix last December, once again following Lily Collins as marketing executive Emily Cooper.

Emily's Journey Comes to an End

Viewers have followed Emily's journey for several years, from her move to Paris for work to her romantic entanglements and heartbreaks. At the end of Season 4, Emily moved to Rome, and Season 5's epic finale saw her facing a decision: would she join ex-boyfriend Gabriel in Greece?

Now, Netflix has confirmed that the show will conclude after Season 6, which is currently in production. Filming began today in Greece, though an exact release date has yet to be announced.

In a video message, Lily Collins said: 'Hey, it's Lily. I just wanted to share something with you all. After six unforgettable years playing Emily Cooper, I'm here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final. Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime. Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming.'

A third added: 'The final season of Emily in Paris already in production means Paris is about to get one last chaotic, fashion-forward, romantically messy send-off. It deserves a proper ending.'

A third echoed: 'Well this just ruined my day,' as a fourth commented: 'I knew it would have to end at some point but this makes me soooo sad!!! This show is such a comfort watch.' A fifth said: 'Oh noooo not the final chapter please.'
