Since joining the soap earlier this year, Joel has been shown to hold misogynistic views and commit disturbing acts, including assaulting a stranger on the Tube and secretly recording himself being intimate with Avani. It was also revealed that Ross previously paid off a girl's mother in Australia after Joel up skirted a classmate.
In tonight's episode, Ross and Joel were sharing beers when Joel showed his father a video of influencer Drake Zagan, whom he idolises. After Joel left the room, Ross was disgusted by Zagan's comments that feminism is a lie and that a woman's only job is to find a boyfriend. Ross then discovered the illegal videos on Joel's laptop, exclaiming, 'I do not want this filth in my house! You are a revolting, arrogant disgusting little pervert!'
