EastEnders: Craig attacks Amy as Sean plans rescue

Craig Ingram's true nature was exposed to Amy Mitchell in EastEnders after he violently attacked her following bad news about her frozen inheritance account. Amy, as viewers know, has been groomed over several months by disgraced ex-detective Craig, who first encountered the teen while questioning her about a local attack. Jack Branning was horrified to learn that Amy was in a relationship with his ex-colleague, but before he could intervene, Craig sped out of the Square with Amy in tow.

Sean's mission to make Craig pay

The policeman has sought help from Sean Slater, who is on a mission to make Craig pay. But with Amy having accessed her inheritance early, they were worried that tracking her and Craig down would prove tricky. A breakthrough from Lily, however, changed everything, with Amy having used Charli's iPad when accessing the account in which the money is stored – a discovery which they relayed to the police.

Later, Craig was irate when, at a bedsit, he realised the account had been frozen. Enraged, he hit Amy and blamed this on her, telling her that she needs to come up with a way to fix it.

What happens next on Tuesday, November 3

With the police having successfully suspended the account, the race is on to locate missing Amy. Jack fears what a ruthless Craig might do now that he's lost access to the money. Sean, meanwhile, suggests that Denise Fox record a video pleading with Amy to come back home. With Amy having a very special bond with Denise, the question is: will the plan work?

A scene in the recently released EastEnders Winter trailer confirms that Sean does share scenes with Craig – but does this mean that Amy will be saved?

Craig star warns Amy is in danger

Teasing what's to come in the wake of the kidnap, Craig star Matthew James Bailey told Metro that Amy is in danger. "From what we've seen of the storyline previously and how it's all built up, you've seen this charming side of Craig in how he gets Amy on board," he said in an exclusive chat with Metro. "And you've had moments where Craig has played on her insecurities when it comes to her self-harm, where he's shown this false vulnerable side of him to get her on side. He shows this false vulnerability which isn't real at all – he's using anything he can."

"But what I think you're going to see next is this really dark side of Craig come out which show his true colours, because I don't think he can hide it anymore. It's been manifesting itself in such a horrible way. The audience will see a really horrible side of Craig that they've not yet seen."

Elsewhere in the Square, Gemma Hawkins continues her attempts to make friends while Ned finds Ryder a job. Linda Carter, meanwhile, urges Lee to go a week without drinking and later suggests she accompany Nancy to her antenatal class – but Lee soon arrives and causes a scene.

EastEnders airs these scenes Tuesday November 3 at 7:30pm on BBC One or streams from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
