Fans of the hit series Yellowstone are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new spin-off, Dutton Ranch, which sees Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their iconic roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. The series, which airs on Paramount+, follows the couple as they are forced to leave their Montana home after a devastating event and start anew in Texas.
Dutton Ranch: Plot and Cast
Alongside their adopted son Carter, played by Finn Little, Beth and Rip must confront a series of fresh challenges and setbacks as they work to rebuild their lives from scratch. The drama also introduces a host of compelling new characters, including veterinarian Everett McKinney, portrayed by Ed Harris, and rival rancher Beulah Jackson, played by Annette Bening.
The official synopsis from Paramount+ reads: "As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together - far from the ghosts of Yellowstone - they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul."
Joining the main cast are Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind. The series was filmed in Ferris, Texas, with production commencing in August 2025.
How Many Episodes Are in Dutton Ranch?
The first series consists of nine episodes, each running between 45 and 60 minutes. There has been no confirmation yet regarding a second season. Episodes are broadcast on both Paramount+ and The Paramount Network.
When Are New Episodes Released?
Dutton Ranch launched on May 15 with a generous two-episode premiere, titled The Untold Want and Earn Another Day. Following the debut, the remaining seven episodes will be released weekly every Friday, culminating in the season finale on July 3. The titles for the upcoming episodes are being kept under wraps, but the full release schedule is as follows:
