Pop sensation Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner have tied the knot in a private ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, surrounded by just eight of their closest friends and family members. The couple, who became engaged in January of the previous year, opted for a low-key affair that contrasted sharply with their celebrity status.
Wedding Details
Dua Lipa, 29, captivated onlookers in a white blazer layered over her dress, complemented by a large white hat and gloves. Callum Turner, 35, looked dapper in a smart navy suit. The newlyweds departed the venue in a classic black cab as guests showered them with confetti, marking the beginning of their married life together.
Celebrations in Sicily
Despite the intimate London ceremony, the couple’s celebrations are far from over. They are reportedly heading to Sicily for an extravagant three-day wedding extravaganza. A source revealed, “They have rented out multiple huge venues for the multi-event extravaganza.” Among the expected celebrity guests are Charli XCX and Tove Lo, with speculation that Sir Elton John might perform.
Dua Lipa previously shared with British Vogue that she had never fantasized about her wedding day, stating, “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be.”
A Whirlwind Romance
The couple’s romance began when they met and discovered they were reading the same book. Callum described the encounter to The Sunday Times as feeling like “a Hollywood romance.” Their relationship quickly blossomed, leading to their engagement and now marriage.
