Fans of The Masked Singer believe they have unmasked the celebrity behind the Can of Worms costume, pointing to former Death in Paradise actor Danny John-Jules. The 65-year-old, known for playing Dwayne Myers in the BBC detective series, is the subject of speculation after a Reddit user highlighted clues linking him to the character.
The fan posted: "I think I've cracked the case of Can of Worms. Gardening clues, hates mice, can rap and do a Jamaican accent. Most clues point to Danny John-Jules from Death in Paradise and Red Dwarf." Other viewers agreed, noting they recognised his voice in performances.
Can of Worms debuted on the ITV show on January 3 with a rendition of Be Our Guest, followed by Ghostbusters and Sean Paul's Temperature. Panellists have suggested Robbie Williams, Ben Shephard, and Paul Whitehouse as alternatives.
The speculation comes ahead of Death in Paradise's 15th series, airing on BBC One on Friday, January 30 at 9pm. The Masked Singer continues on ITVX.
