Coronation Street stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine have finally tied the knot in a beautiful, intimate ceremony. The couple, who play fan-favourite characters Abi Webster and Tim Metcalfe on the ITV soap, shared exclusive details about their heartfelt wedding day.
The pair, who got engaged in 2021 after meeting on set, opted for a low-key celebration surrounded by close friends and family. "It was perfect," Carman revealed. "Just us, our nearest and dearest, and plenty of love."
Duttine added: "We wanted something simple but meaningful. No fuss, just happiness." The ceremony took place in a picturesque location, though the couple are keeping the exact venue private.
Fans will be delighted to hear that several of their Coronation Street co-stars were in attendance, though the actors remained tight-lipped about which colleagues made the guest list.
The wedding comes after three years of dating for the soap stars, who quickly became one of the most beloved couples both on and off screen. Their real-life romance blossomed after their characters became involved in one of the show's most dramatic storylines.
When asked about balancing their personal and professional lives, Carman joked: "We're used to it now! Though sometimes we have to remind ourselves not to bring work home with us."
The couple haven't ruled out a bigger celebration in future, but for now they're simply enjoying married life. "We're just taking each day as it comes," Duttine said with a smile.
