Corrie Spoilers: Sarah Platt's Future After Murder Reveal

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed what the immediate future looks like for Sarah Platt, who was uncovered as Theo Silverton's killer. The dramatic revelation came on Monday, June 22, after a series of flashbacks showed what really happened to the builder on the night of his death.

The Murder Uncovered

As viewers of the ITV soap know, Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor. The confirmation of the abuser's death ended his 13-month reign of physical and mental abuse over his partner, Todd Grimshaw. This came after flash-forward scenes aired in February, transporting viewers to April, where Betsy was being interviewed by police after discovering a dead body.

At the time, it was also revealed that the victim could have been Theo, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh, or Maggie Driscoll. Eventually, a week after the wedding aired, it was revealed that Theo was the victim, after he tried to torment Todd one last time. His death triggered a murder investigation, with Corrie confirming Todd as a suspect, along with George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton.

Flashback Reveals Truth

The truth was revealed to viewers this week during a dramatic dinner party at Sarah and her partner DC Kit Green's flat. A dark flashback took viewers back to the night of Theo's murder, when Sarah received a suspicious text from Todd's phone. She headed to the flat he shared with Theo and was confronted by the dastardly builder, who was drunk, on the scaffolding outside.

Theo prodded Sarah's emotions, even bringing up the son she and Todd had lost 21 years earlier. As the confrontation became more sinister, with Theo threatening violence, Sarah defended herself by grabbing a metal pipe and hitting Theo on the head, sending him crashing to the ground below. Realizing what she had done, she called Gary Windass to help her, who seemed unhappy to be caught up in her mess.

Aftermath of the Dinner Party

The following day, Maria gives Gary the cold shoulder after the explosive dinner party. Meanwhile, when Sarah finds a ring box in Kit's bag, her eyes widen, but she is brought up short when Kit suddenly appears. Elsewhere, Todd calls to see Sarah and tells her he suspects there's more to the situation with her and Gary than meets the eye.

Later, on the street, Gary goads Kit, pointing out that he has no actual evidence against him. Gary assures Todd that there is no affair, but Sarah both likes and trusts him, and Kit is jealous, which is why he's trying to pin the murder on him. Todd once again tackles Sarah, wondering if Gary knows more than he's letting on about Theo's murder.

Next Week's Spoilers

Corrie spoilers for next week give a better idea of what's ahead. Spotting Jodie Ramsey outside, Sarah heads over, determined to get answers about the night of her attack. But when DS Lisa Connor-Swain approaches and tells Sarah she'd like to go over that night again, Jodie invites them in. Inside No. 8, Sarah goes through the details of her attack again, adamant that it took place at 9.10pm and David the dog was barking his head off.

Later, Jodie points out to Sarah that her timings don't stack up and maybe she was with Gary. When Sarah quizzes her about the trinket box, Jodie is thrown, but she is saved from answering by the arrival of David, who angrily points out that they've left the gate open and David the dog is missing. As the day unfolds, Kit and Sarah call at the café, but when Jodie approaches, all smiles, Sarah's discomfort is evident. Picking up on it, David later calls at the factory and quizzes Sarah about the apparent tension between her and Jodie. Clearly not satisfied with her response, in the Rovers, David shares his concerns about Sarah with Kit and how she's been acting weirdly around Jodie, and so Kit promises to keep an eye on her.
