Coronation Street fans believe they have worked out what happened to Cassie Plummer after her mysterious exit, with Ross Wilkes' behaviour continuing to raise concerns. Viewers of the ITV soap have taken to social media to share their theories about where the character has been for months.
Ross Wilkes' Arrival and Cassie's Exit
Ross arrived in Weatherfield in July and quickly created a rift between Cassie and her son, Tyrone Dobbs, after being revealed as his long-lost father. The revelation came when Tyrone's children, Hope and Ruby, found his father through a DNA database for his birthday, which distressed Cassie after she had earlier made a drunken pass at Ross at the Chariot Square Hotel.
Tyrone chose to get to know his dad, who also began a romance with Tracy Barlow. Cassie tried to expose Ross, revealing at a party that he paid her for sex when she was 15, which led to her falling pregnant with Tyrone. Despite this, Tyrone and Tracy kept Ross in their lives after he agreed to apologise and start fresh, though he later threatened Cassie's life if she interfered with his relationship with his son.
Fan Theories About Cassie's Whereabouts
Cassie was eventually forced out of Weatherfield after getting into Ross's car, which he offered as a lift to the train station. Since then, viewers have seen more of Ross's true character, with spoilers suggesting his toxic behaviour will worsen in upcoming scenes.
In a Coronation Street fan Facebook group, one viewer asked: "What's Ross Done with Cassie?" Another replied: "I think he's got her locked away somewhere. I don't think he's killed her." A different fan suggested: "She's buried on the land that Ken's son is banging on about I expect."
One viewer predicted: "It will come out either at Christmas or new year that he's been holding her hostage hopefully he ain't killed her then we see he is in jail with the same lads he was being as prison officer for," while another added: "Cassie will come back n save the day."
