Coronation Street fans have been quick to share their delight at an update from the ITV soap's latest spoilers involving Asha Alahan, but it's bad news for those who liked her relationship with Nina Lucas.
Asha's New Romance on the Horizon
Actress Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha, the daughter of Dev and the late Sunita Alahan, has been on the show since 2009. She revealed she had never taken an acting class before her debut at age six. Viewers have seen her tackle storylines including skin-lightening, sexting, revenge porn, and a recent mental health crisis as a trainee paramedic.
After moving into her own flat with Nina, Asha appears to be getting a new lease of life. Romance could be on the cards as she has been single since her split with Nina in early 2024. Their on-and-off relationship ended after Nina kissed Asha's twin brother, Aadi.

According to spoilers for next week's episodes, Asha, Nina, and Amy Barlow find Summer Spellman tipsy at the bistro with new friends. When Summer plans to go into town with them, the trio becomes suspicious. Later, they express concern that Summer has been overdoing it. Asha is distracted by the arrival of Sienna, and when Sienna's date stands her up, the girls urge Asha to make a move.
