Coronation Street Fans Demand Answers Over Missing Character

Coronation Street viewers have been left baffled after noticing that Aggie Bailey (played by Lorna Laidlaw) has been absent from recent episodes. The character, who is married to Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges), has not been seen for some time, prompting fans to question her whereabouts on social media.

In Monday's episode, Ed and his brother Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) celebrated their new business venture at The Rovers Return, but many viewers noted Aggie's absence. Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: 'I think Aggie and the granddaughter have been locked in the cupboard with all the other missing characters.' Another asked: 'Aggies away. But where? Where is Aggie? The NHS is in crisis cos Aggie is MIA.'

The storyline has seen Ed and Ronnie go into business together after Ronnie invested shares in Newton and Ridley, despite initial reluctance from Ed. However, their plans hit a snag when Ronnie admitted to risking all the money, but they managed to get back on track after involving insider dealing.

In upcoming scenes, Ed is set to revisit his old gambling addiction, which was the reason the family moved to Weatherfield. Ronnie will set up a bank account for the business and transfer half the money into Ed's personal account. During Monday's episode, Ed received an advert for a gambling company and was seen debating whether to take part.

Fans are eager to see Aggie return and react to Ed's potential relapse. One viewer commented: 'Ed's lost money on the horses. He'll be wishing he was trampled by them when Aggie finally resurfaces.' Another simply asked: 'Where's Aggie? Not seen her for ages.'

Coronation Street airs on ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm.
