Claudia Winkleman's New BBC Show Imposes Strict Dress Code for Audience

Claudia Winkleman, the 54-year-old presenter of The Traitors and co-host of Strictly Come Dancing, is set to launch a new BBC One chat show, The Claudia Winkleman Show. The programme will feature interviews with Hollywood stars and British talent, but audience members must adhere to a strict dress code.

According to the official ticketing website, attendees are required to 'dress to impress', with tracksuits and puffer gilets explicitly banned. The site states: 'We’re asking everyone to dress to impress – we don’t want to see any tracksuits or puffer gilets; we’d like to look out at a sea of people dressed for a big night out with Claudia!'

Audience participation will be a key element of the show, with Winkleman conversing with attendees, who may appear on television. The website adds: 'She will also be conversing with the audience, so if you want the opportunity to have a chat with Claudia and possibly be on TV, then this is the show for you.'

Winkleman expressed her excitement about the new venture, saying: 'I can’t quite believe it, and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I'm obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.'

The show will air in the spring, produced by So Television, which also produces Graham Norton's chat show. Norton's programme, recently renewed for three years, airs in autumn and winter, while Winkleman's will occupy the spring slot.
