Celebrity Traitors make biggest blunder yet as winner 'confirmed'

The Celebrity Traitors trio of Maya Jama, James Acaster and newly-recruited King Kenny may have made their biggest blunder yet, according to 'murdered' contestant Amol Rajan. Writing in his column for Metro, Rajan warned that the three Traitors were seen together at the end of the last episode, a move that goes against the pattern of previous series.

Murder in Plain Sight

The trio were tasked with a murder in plain sight, needing to make someone yawn and then say "am I boring you?" to seal their fate. Their planned targets were Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp before midnight. However, the challenge forced them to appear in the same room together as they planned their next victim, which Rajan believes could be their most fatal mistake yet.

In his column, Rajan referenced an interview with Professor Hannah Fry on Uncloaked, who noted that "Traitors never, ever hang out together." He added, "And yet… that's exactly what James, Maya and Kenny did at the end of the last episode. It was a beautiful example of how 'murder in plain sight' elevates the game to another level. Might it have occasioned the Traitors' first huge blunder?"

Maya Jama Praised

Rajan also praised Maya Jama, suggesting she could win the whole show. He described her as "a revelation. Lovely and humble, she has no airs and graces." He noted her intelligence and self-deprecation, adding, "Who could have known that Maya would inhabit her villainous role so totally? Right now, she has zero heat on her. Her little stunt, feigning innocence to get a shield, was genius. And she has ruthlessly banished fellow Traitors twice (Richard and Hannah). Clever."

Rajan also credited the producers for a clever trick in releasing the names of the stars three days before filming, allowing contestants to research their fellow stars if they wished before entering the castle, something that hasn't happened before.
