BBC viewers are convinced they have worked out the Celebrity Traitors 2026 winner following what some have called an 'unbelievable' blunder broadcast on the gameshow. The competition has entered its final week, with the concluding episode scheduled to air on BBC One this Friday, 30 October.
The series launched earlier this month with 21 celebrity contestants competing to secure £100,000 for a charity of their choosing, though only a select few remain in contention. Traitors Maya Jama, King Kenny and James Acaster are among those still in the running, having avoided detection so far.
Traitors named most trustworthy
Love Island presenter Maya was selected as a Traitor at the series' outset and has stayed completely under the radar, even following the exposure of her previous accomplices Richard E. Grant and Professor Hannah Fry. With the finale approaching, home viewers believe Maya and her recruited Traitors will triumph in the 2026 series.
Supporters became certain after James, Maya and Kenny were all selected as the most reliable participants during last Friday's (23 October) episode. Even Maya appeared astonished that the Faithfuls identified all the Traitors as the most authentic competitors.
Reflecting on the challenge afterwards, she remarked: "I had to hold in my laughter. Of all people, you saved us? I just thought 'Oh my gosh, have we completed this game already?' We are trusting, we are unsuspecting, and we are killing you all."
Viewers react on social media
This blunder appears to have convinced viewers that the Traitors have already sewn up the competition. Flocking to social media, one fan remarked: "its pretty clear this is going to be a 3 traitor win," while another branded the error "unbelievable".
A third viewer posted: "I just honestly don't see a scenario where the faithful could possibly win this season," with a fourth concurring: "After the latest episode, I don't see how the traitors don't win this tbh.."
Yet another wrote: "I got such second hand embarrassment, it'll be all of them in the final," while a final supporter added: "I think all 3 traitors are winning this. No heat on any of them at any point. Very impressed with them."
Potential twist for the Faithfuls
However, certain viewers believe the Faithfuls' error could ultimately prove advantageous. One Reddit user noted: "The three traitors being chosen as the most trustworthy players will come back to bite them when none of them get murdered overnight."
