Bradley Walsh's new Channel 4 quiz show, Bradley Walsh's Million Pound Shot, will see contestants gamble their own money for the first time in TV quiz show history.
The one-off quiz event gives three players the chance to win up to £1million, with hopefuls risking their own cash based on how confident they are in their answers to general knowledge questions.
How the show works
Contestants will bring their own bank cards and bet cash on each question. They will have the chance to win Bet Balls with a monetary value, which they can either cash out or risk by firing them into the Million Pound Shot Machine to attempt to win £1million.
Further twists are promised throughout the show, which is described as a night of drama unlike anything Walsh has hosted before, bursting with tension, big moments and huge curveballs.
Walsh on the format
Speaking about the new show, Walsh said: "This programme is unlike anything we've seen on British TV before, and when I heard about this format I thought it was one of the most original and surprising quiz shows I'd ever encountered."
He added: "Alongside playing with their own money, there are more twists and turns along the way. I'm excited for everyone to see how it plays out."
"They're going to have to be willing to take big risks, and back themselves right to the very end. This is not a game for the faint-hearted!"
"This game is all about confidence and bravado. Putting your money where your mouth is will not be simple when it's your own cold hard cash."
Broadcast details
"So the contestants are going to have to be cool, calm and willing to take a risk. The game is always in their control and I'm hoping for confident, bright players with a good breadth of general knowledge and a sense of fun."
Bradley Walsh's Million Pound Shot will be available to watch and stream on Sunday, November 1 on Channel 4 at 9pm.
