Celebrity Race Across The World 2026 route revealed

The BBC has revealed the route for Celebrity Race Across The World 2026. The fourth series of the BAFTA-winning show will see celebrity pairs trek across Southeast Asia and Australia, with no cash prize at stake.

The race begins in Kuching, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak in Northwest Borneo. Known by the nickname Cat City, Kuching serves as a gateway to the ancient rainforests of Borneo, described as some of the oldest and most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth.

7,500km journey to Melbourne

From Kuching, contestants face a 7,500km journey south to finish in Melbourne, Australia. Along the way, they must navigate jungles, cross the Indian Ocean, and trek across Australia, passing through five checkpoints.

Celebrities, accustomed to travelling in style, have a budget of about £26 a day to cover the thousands of miles.

Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, said: 'This year’s pairs navigate a journey that lays bare two extremes of today’s world. We can’t wait to share how they get on.'

Contestants and pairings

Award-winning singer-songwriter Ella Eyre, known for her UK number-one single Waiting All Night, races with her childhood friend Nana. The pair have been friends for 20 years and plan to treat the trip like the gap year they never had. Nana said: 'We’re going to make a good team. I fear for our competitors.'

Veteran sports broadcaster Jeff Stelling competes with his son Matt. Jeff said: 'Work’s been a massive part of my life. Now I don’t have quite the demands that I used to have, so it’s perfect timing.'

Princess and Junior, children of media personality Katie Price and singer Peter Andre, are keen to step out of their parents' shadows. Princess said: 'Everything we do, we get compared to our parents. But we actually have our own thing that we do.' Junior added: 'We’ve kind of got a lot to prove. I’m so excited for this. I cannot wait to do this; we’re going to win.'

Eurovision legend Sam Ryder competes with his best friend and tour manager Kaz. The pair met 13 years ago. Sam said: 'I reckon we can smash this. Think about all the places we’ve slept over the years on tour.'
