Netflix has quietly added the British crime drama Prey to its UK roster, and the series has quickly climbed into the platform's most-watched charts. The ITV original first aired in April 2014 and was nominated for a BAFTA Television Award in the Mini Series category in 2015.

The show stars Rosie Cavaliero as DS Susan Reinhart, the only lead character to appear across both series. Season one features John Simm as DC Marcus Farrow, a role that earned him a Royal Television Society North West Award for Best Male Performance. Philip Glenister takes the lead in series two.

Prey boasts a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have praised it as "a near perfect blend of well-crafted characterizations" and "an engrossing, dynamic series." Audiences have also responded positively, with one viewer calling it "outstanding acting from virtually everyone, non stop action, great storyline."

The show's official plot follows DS Reinhardt as she investigates two intense cases involving corruption by UK law enforcement officials. In the first series, she pursues a colleague wanted for the murder of his wife and son. In the second, a prison officer's pregnant daughter is kidnapped, and he must help an inmate escape for her release.
