Viewers are convinced that a new Channel 4 quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh is a "hoax," with audiences expecting something bigger to happen when it airs on Sunday night.
The show, Million Pound Shot, sees three contestants take their shot at winning up to £1 million in front of a live studio audience. The programme promises a night of drama, tension and a curveball that viewers won't see coming, in a game of nerve and instinct that asks how much you can trust your gut when a million pounds is within reach.
Fans Question the Show's Authenticity
Some fans have taken to social media to suggest the new Channel 4 installment is actually a hoax. On X, formerly known as Twitter, @chuckthomasuk wrote: "Is Bradley Walsh's new Channel 4 quiz show actually a massive television hoax? Something very strange is happening at Channel 4."
He continued: "Channel 4 is promising extraordinary drama, tension and life-changing outcomes, with a huge secret viewers won't see coming. And now the television detectives are getting suspicious. KEO Films is no ordinary production company... It's famous for fascinating documentaries and extraordinary stunts. The sort of programmes that make you question what you're watching. Not exactly the people you'd normally call for a quiz where Bradley Walsh asks somebody for the capital of Belgium."
Audience Member Claims NDA Was Signed
Others were in agreement, as @dublin1guy, who said he was in the audience, teased: "The filming of this took place a few weeks ago and everyone was asked to sign a NDA until AFTER broadcast. Was extraordinary tense in the studio and some bits were filmed after the public left."
It has also been pointed out that the commissioner for the show is Tim Hancock, who was behind Gregg Wallace: The Miracle Meat and The Experiment.
Bradley Walsh's Million Pound Shot airs Sunday November 1 at 9pm on Channel 4.
