Big Brother fans were left divided after Rochelle was crowned the 2026 winner, taking home the £100,000 prize. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced her as champion during the live final, but not all viewers were celebrating.
Fans question Rochelle's victory
Some viewers took to X to share their disappointment at the result. One fan said: "I think Rochelle winning Big Brother is extremely depressing I’m sorry to say." Another suggested the show's presentation may have influenced the outcome, posting: "I do wonder what the outcome would’ve been if we saw livestreams, late and live audience opinions or less of the Rochelle sympathy edit #bbuk".
However, not everyone was unhappy with the result. One fan admitted to mixed feelings, writing: "As much as I haven't liked the way Rochelle has spoken to people... I am not THAT upset that she has won. Nethertheless this series has been INCREDIBLE. LONG LIVE BIG BROTHER!!!! #BBUK #bbuk".
Final placements and series success
Rochelle finished ahead of Twinks, who was named runner-up. Yasmin came third, followed by Samuel in fourth, Lynx in fifth and Catrin in sixth place.
The latest series marked the fourth instalment of Big Brother since its return to ITV in 2023. According to ITV, the Big Brother brand has surpassed 220 million streams on ITVX, with the current series and companion show attracting more than 56 million streams, up 67% on last year's figures. ITV also described it as the most-watched series since the programme returned to the network.
Reunion show ahead
Fans will get another chance to catch up with the housemates when Big Brother: The Reunion airs tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
