The future of Ben Shephard's popular ITV programme has reportedly been confirmed. Game show Tipping Point, which the This Morning star has been presenting for more than a decade, has been commissioned for additional series, according to TVZone. Ben is understood to be heading back to the studio later this year to film new episodes of the much-loved programme.
A post on the show's official website revealed that producers are currently 'on the lookout for contestants' for forthcoming editions of the series. The show sees hopefuls answer general knowledge questions to earn plastic counters, which they then drop into arcade-style coin pusher machines in the hope of scooping big prizes.
'If you fancy taking on TV's most talked about machine, we'd love to hear from you,' the message read. 'Closing date for applications is midnight on Friday 21st August 2026 (but auditions will start soon so please don't delay).' ITV has been approached for comment.
Ben Shephard's Long-Running Role
TV favourite Ben has been at the helm of the game show since 2012, and he also presents celebrity specials on Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, which launched a year later in 2013. Several special editions of the quiz show have aired over the years, including festive and Soccer Aid instalments. There is also a spin-off entitled Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals, featuring compilations of memorable moments from the series.
Ben's Admiration for Contestants
Ben has previously spoken of his admiration for contestants who take on the challenge, telling the Mirror: 'These people are under pressure in an environment and their minds go blank and they can't think of anything and the words don't make sense. And I just have so much admiration for all of them.' He added: 'There have been some amazing answers but to be fair to all those people that come in, they are incredibly brave to take on the machine.'
Ben's Other ITV Role
Ben's other big ITV programme is This Morning, where he first appeared in 2005 as a guest presenter. In 2024, the 51-year-old became one of the show's principal hosts, and he now presents the daytime programme several days a week alongside Cat Deeley. Tipping Point and This Morning air on ITV.
