Bella Hadid has once again made headlines at the Cannes Film Festival, this time by wearing a sheer top that appears to break the event's strict dress code. The supermodel, known for her daring fashion choices, stepped out in a transparent, sequin-embellished blouse from Australian vintage reseller Preluvd, which exposed her nude bra underneath.
The outfit, which included camel flared trousers and accessories such as a gold pendant necklace and Gucci sunglasses, came just days after Hadid wore a more modest custom Prada gown on the red carpet. The contrast highlights her willingness to push boundaries despite the festival's rules.
Last year, Cannes organisers updated the dress code to ban 'naked dresses' for 'decency reasons', along with voluminous gowns that hinder movement. The rules state that nudity is prohibited on the red carpet and in all festival areas, with violators denied access.
Hadid's ensemble, while not on the official red carpet, still challenges the spirit of the regulations. The model previously made waves at the 2024 festival in a see-through Saint Laurent gown, cementing her reputation as a queen of risqué fashion at Cannes.
