Anton Du Beke Loses Cool in Podcast Recording
Strictly Come Dancing judges Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood have launched a podcast during the off-season, but their latest recording session descended into chaos. The duo, who are known for their on-screen chemistry, attempted a rapid-fire segment where Anton had to give one-word verdicts on office-related terms. However, Anton's lack of corporate experience triggered a profanity-laden outburst that required heavy censorship from production staff.
Office Terminology Leaves Anton Struggling
The theme of this week's Judgemental podcast was office life, a topic Anton openly admitted he knew nothing about. He quickly dismissed items like "the dodgy printer" and "the office microwave" with negative responses. But when asked about "Reply all email disasters," he managed a brief impression of Craig's catchphrase before confessing he had no idea what "personality hour" meant. Frustration mounted as Anton conceded he didn't understand half the terms Craig was quizzing him on.
Anton's Explosive Rant
Suddenly, Anton launched into an expletive-filled tirade. He fumed: "I am the worst person in God's earth to be asking anything officey. I don't understand a **** word of any of it." He continued: "The whole language makes me want to **** throw myself. **** ... I hate everything about it. Corporate makes me want to **** something. **** Through the roof of my. ****" The outburst forced the production team to work overtime on the bleep button.
Craig Revel Horwood's Calm Response
Unfazed by Anton's anger, Craig responded calmly: "Does it? That's all very lovely. But I've asked for yes or no answers, please." A chastened Anton apologized: "My apologies," before sharing his views on email, office Christmas parties, and "Office birthday cards with 47 signatures and no messages." Despite the tension, Anton eventually came around to Craig's perspective on after-work drinks, admitting: "Actually, I have to be honest with you. I agree with you."
Craig Defends Office Traditions
Craig defended after-work drinks as "valuable" for decompression, saying: "If I was the CEO of a company, I'd be encouraging people, my teams, to go out and have an after work drink. You know, even if it does turn into a bitching session about me, but it releases things and then you don't go home with the problem." He also challenged Anton's dismissal of packed lunches, joking about the smell of Cornish pasties in the office. Anton, despite his earlier rant, conceded that Craig had a point about the social benefits of office life.
