In Thursday's episode of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, YouTuber AngryGinge, 24, shared an emotional tribute to his mother, who worked three jobs on a council estate to support him. He told campmate Alex Scott that his mother's dedication is 'the reason he keeps going' in the jungle.
AngryGinge, whose real name is Morgan Sam Lee Burtwistle, grew up on a council estate in Eccles, Manchester. He found common ground with Alex Scott, who was raised on a council estate in East London. 'We've got no problems getting our hands stuck in, because that's what we've had to do from being little to where we are now,' he said.
Opening up about his single mother Michelle, AngryGinge described how she would work three jobs daily to provide for him. 'She’d finish her first job, then go to her second job, then her third job, and then get home. If she can do it then I can do this in the jungle, so that’s what keeps me going really,' he explained.
Earlier in the week, AngryGinge became visibly upset after looking at a framed picture of his family. In the Bush Telegraph, he admitted: 'It's a bit of a s**t day really, I just feel as though I'm missing home.' His mother later told the Daily Mail that seeing him cry on the show was 'so hard to watch' and that she 'can't wait to give him the biggest hug on that bridge.'
In the same episode, AngryGinge faced a trial against rapper Aitch, during which Aitch pressed a sabotage button that turned off the lights in AngryGinge's compartment. Furious, AngryGinge shouted: 'There is no way he's beaten me again!' before calming himself down.
