Adultery on ITV: Start Time, Cast, Episodes and Locations

ITV launches a new six-part drama, Adultery, tonight at 9pm. The series, written by Danny Brocklehurst, follows a group of parents caught in a web of deceit and romance.

Tom Kirkman and Beth Brookes begin an illicit affair, complicated by the fact that their children are dating each other. Tom's 15-year-old daughter Jess is also navigating young love with her schoolmate Ollie, adding another layer of intrigue to the storyline.

Who Stars in Adultery?

Dominic Cooper plays Tom, while Romola Garai portrays Beth. The supporting cast includes Shelley Conn, Matthew McNulty, Andrew Knott, James Murray, and Charley Webb.

Speaking to Country and Town House about his experience on the show, Cooper said: "It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I was surrounded by people I felt completely supported by."

"Romola, Shelley [Conn, who plays Hannah], everyone is brilliant, such good actors, and that makes it a joy. We never had to change the writing and we never had to work through scenes we felt weren't quite right," he added.

Episode Schedule and Streaming Details

Adultery kicks off at 9pm tonight (Sunday, October 25), with episode two airing tomorrow night (Monday, October 26) at 9pm. Episodes will then broadcast every Sunday and Monday evening for three weeks.

Alternatively, all six episodes will be available to stream on ITVX and STV Player from October 25.

Where Was Adultery Filmed?

The drama was partially shot in Darwen and Hoddlesden, with production teams spotted in the area last year. Cast members were seen filming in Darwen last November, with activity focused around Bank Street and Church Bank Street.

Long Hey Lane was shut at its junction with Jackson Heights to facilitate the production. The crew was subsequently spotted shooting scenes in Hoddlesden the following month.

Adultery airs Sunday, October 25 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
