James Acaster Reveals Jerry Hall Accused Him of Being Traitor in Cut Scenes
Acaster: Jerry Hall Accused Me of Being a Traitor in Cut Scenes

James Acaster has revealed that he was accused of being a Traitor before his dramatic confession, but the moment was cut from the final edit of Celebrity Traitors. Speaking on Alan Carr's 'Life's a Beach' podcast, the comedian said Jerry Hall confronted him directly during filming.

Acaster, 41, was banished from the roundtable during the semi-final on October 29 after admitting he was a Traitor. He began the game as a Faithful but was recruited by Maya Jama and Richard E Grant, and struggled with the role after falling under suspicion following a discussion about Ross Kemp's murder in plain sight.

Face-to-Face Accusation

On the podcast, Acaster said: "They cut out my one, Jerry Hall went right up to me, face-to-face, and accused me of being a Traitor and she said, 'I think it's James!'". He explained that he replied, "I looked her in the eye and said, 'I think it might be me as well, Jerry!'", and that Hall called him "very sneaky" before walking away.

Acaster added: "I went, 'Surely that's going in the edit'. No, nowhere to be seen!". He also revealed he was more vocal at the roundtable than the edit suggested, saying he believed traitors were the quiet ones and "went for it" before realising his votes were cut to keep the reveal a surprise.

Final Episode and Aftermath

The final episode on October 30 saw Faithfuls Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian 'Bash' Croft win, taking £41,500 each for Choose Love and Refugee Council. Viewers noticed Acaster was missing from the Uncloaked reaction show and went unmentioned after his exit.
