The 1% Club Player's Early Exit Backfires as She Tells Lee Mack 'Don't Even Go There'

A contestant on ITV's The 1% Club told host Lee Mack 'don't even go there' after being eliminated in the first round. Sue Bond was one of ten players to leave the show after failing the easiest question, which 90% of a survey group answered correctly.

Speaking to Mack, Bond expressed her frustration: 'I'm gutted. This is the one thing I didn't want to happen. Can we start again?' Mack replied: 'For someone who didn't want to go there you've got a lot of internal monologue going on.'

Bond, who runs ladies' retreats in North Wales aimed at helping guests relax, admitted the irony of her situation. She said: 'I sit at home on my bed watching it and when someone gets the first question wrong I go "you don't even deserve to be there, how can you get that wrong?" And I've just gone and done it myself.'

Mack joked about her career choice, saying: 'I'll tell you what, I wish you were calmer.' The show, which tests logic and common sense rather than general knowledge, offers a top prize of £100,000. Contestants start with £1,000 each, with incorrect answers adding to the prize pot.
