ITV has confirmed that the fourth series of its hit crime thriller Trigger Point will premiere on Sunday, August 30 at 9pm on ITV1. All six episodes will also be available to stream on ITVX.
Vicky McClure reprises her role as fearless bomb disposal expert Lana Washington, known as an EXPO, as she faces another dangerous series of threats in the capital. The fourth series promises to be just as tense as previous instalments, with Lana and her team tasked with keeping London safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats.
Returning Cast and New Faces
Returning alongside McClure are Eric Shango as Danny, Nabil Elouahabi as Hass, Natalie Simpson as DS Helen Morgan and Maanuv Thiara as DCI Batra. The new series also introduces Julie Graham as Commander Nia Quentin and Jonas Armstrong.
The six-part series has been written by Chris Brandon, with Jennie Darnell and Nirpal Bhogal directing. Executive producers include Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio and McClure herself, who continues her role behind the scenes.
Explosive Trailer and Premiere Details
An explosive trailer released earlier this month showed McClure's Lana Washington facing an "unprecedented" threat. Julie Graham's character, Commander Nia Quentin, describes it as "the biggest terror attack this country's seen."
ITV's Director of Drama, Polly Hill, said in a statement: "I'm delighted that this thrilling series is returning for a fourth series. I know audiences will be once again on the edge of their seat as Lana and the team take us on another thrilling ride to keep the capital safe."
McClure added: "I love working with the team, we have a great time making the show and I cannot wait to continue Lana's journey on Trigger Point."
Seasons 1-3 of Trigger Point are streaming now on ITVX. Season 4 begins on ITV on Sunday, August 30 at 9pm.
