Sky Announces Release Date for Highly Anticipated Thriller Series 'Prisoner'
Sky has officially revealed the release date for its hotly-tipped new original series, Prisoner, and fans have only a short wait ahead. The broadcaster confirmed that all episodes of the tense thriller will be available to stream starting Thursday, April 30, exclusively on Sky Atlantic and the streaming service NOW.

The series, described as a deadly manhunt where trust can be fatal, follows Amber, played by Izuka Hoyle, a principled young prison transport officer. Her task is to escort Tibor, portrayed by Tahar Rahim, a trained killer and high-value inmate, to court so he can testify against his elite crime syndicate. When their convoy is brutally ambushed, Amber is forced to put her life in Tibor's hands. As the sole survivors, handcuffed and on the run, they must race to reach their destination alive and on time.
Along the way, their uneasy alliance is tested as the syndicate closes in. Trust becomes a weapon, and their shackled survival presents a moral dilemma, forcing Amber to confront how far she will go to protect what matters most. The series was penned by Oscar-nominated writer Matt Charman, known for Bridge of Spies and Channel 4's hit Hostage.
