Netflix's supernatural horror series Midnight Mass is being recommended to fans of The Haunting of Hill House, with viewers praising its dark atmosphere and gripping storytelling.
Created by Mike Flanagan, who also made The Haunting of Hill House, the show has drawn attention from audiences looking for a horror series to watch this Halloween.
A Must-Watch for Horror Fans
Craig, a TikTok creator from Surrey who discusses television and film on his social media platforms, urged viewers to watch the series, saying it would keep them watching for hours.
Craig said: "If you're looking for your next series to binge-watch this Halloween, this series on Netflix is a must-watch. It comes from Mike Flanagan, who you may know from The Haunting of Hill House, and if you want a horror that's going to really get under your skin, you need to check this one out."
He added: "The must-watch series I'm talking about is called Midnight Mass. And if you loved The Haunting of Hill House, you're going to absolutely love this one. And it follows a man called Riley Flynn, who returns to his isolated hometown after spending time in prison."
A Story of Faith and Sinister Secrets
The plot centres on Riley's return and the arrival of a mysterious new priest, Father Paul, whose presence sparks a wave of supposed miracles in the community.
Craig explained: "But things start to change when a mysterious new priest, Father Paul, arrives in the community. And suddenly, people start experiencing what they believe to be miracles. The town's faith has been reignited, and there's a growing sense that something extraordinary is happening."
He continued: "But as these events become increasingly more disturbing, the town residents start to believe: are these miracles, or is there something much more sinister under the surface? What makes Midnight Mass so great to watch is it doesn't rely on cheap jump scares to frighten you."
