Maya Jama Returns with Casa Amor Twist: Fans Fear for Favourites

Love Island fans are bracing for chaos as Maya Jama returns tonight, June 28, 2026, to deliver a massive shake-up. The iconic Casa Amor twist is back, with new Islanders entering the villa to test existing couples. The girls will be caught off guard when Maya Jama secretly instructs the boys to leave for a second villa, leaving the girls blindfolded and unaware during a challenge.

Casa Amor Returns with New Faces

Tonight's episode finally sees the return of Casa Amor, the show's most dramatic twist. Fresh faces are poised to make their entrance, with the Islanders divided between two separate villas. The newcomers aim to turn heads and pair up with an original Islander to secure a spot in the main villa. Those left unchosen face elimination.

However, ITV has confirmed that newcomer Gabriel has exited the villa and will not be returning. He is slated to feature in tonight's episode, reports OK!.

The Twist Unfolds

ITV teased that while lounging on the daybeds, Yasmin receives a text announcing a challenge called 'Touch of Love'. The girls line up wearing blindfolds and noise-cancelling headphones, while the boys gear up to dive into the game. But Maya Jama slips in to grab the boys' attention and issues them with alternative instructions: 'You need to head out of the Villa quickly... There's a car waiting for you outside.'

As the lads climb into cars labelled 'Casa', the girls remain on the grass completely clueless. Believing the challenge is about to kick off, Maya then drops the bombshell to the girls that the real test is only just beginning and the boys have actually departed for Casa Amor.

Warnings and Familiar Faces

As the new arrivals get acquainted with the Islanders, Carlos delivers a caution to Angelista about Simba: 'I think you should be careful with him.' Sean also encounters a recognisable face as he spots newcomer Charleen, who has been branded by fans as 'Ireland's Princess'.

After initial meet-and-greets, the boys exchange opinions. Clearly taken with the fresh faces, Samraj poses to the group: 'Are we in trouble boys?' Spotting Sean's bashfulness, Aidan quipped: 'Fitzy has crumbled already!' Later, Charleen asks how everyone's partnerships are progressing. Sean confesses: 'I'm very happy with Lola but I want a test.'

Fan Reactions

A preview posted on the Love Island Instagram account has fans voicing predictions about who might be tempted by the latest additions. One viewer commented: 'I feel like Lola is in trouble. She's definitely staying loyal but I can't say the same about Sean.' Another replied: 'Why do I feel like Sean's going to pull a Liam this casa.' A third penned: 'I'm telling yall now Sean is gonna do a curtis in casa amor and lola is gonna be like I WAS COMING HERE TO TELL YA I LUVVED YA.'

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
