Lucien Laviscount has hinted that his character Alfie will receive a fitting conclusion in the sixth and final season of Netflix's Emily in Paris. Speaking at the 2026 Hankook London E-Prix event at London's ExCeL on Saturday (August 15), where he appeared as a Formula E ambassador, the actor reassured fans about Alfie's storyline.
Alfie's journey extended
Laviscount, who plays the charming Alfie, reflected on his character's arc: "The journey's been great. I think Alfie's had a good run. I was only supposed to be around for two episodes, to be here at the finale. It's been a great season for Alfie and a great, great, five years all round."
His Emily in Paris co-star Lucas Bravo, who plays restaurant proprietor Gabriel, was also in attendance at the event. Alfie was originally scheduled to feature in just two episodes, but show creator Darren Star extended his role. Laviscount previously recalled that on what was supposed to be his last day on set, Darren told him: "We want to keep you around a little bit."
Emotional wrap for the cast
Describing the experience of wrapping the show, Laviscount said: "We wrap mid-September, but it honestly feels like a graduation, and it feels like we've had these five beautiful years with these guys. They've had six years, six seasons, and it's beautiful that it's coming to an end."
The actor also noted the cast's closeness: "It's really become a big family affair. There's so much love between everyone, and I think we all know that it's coming to an end, which has brought us together more than we ever could have imagined."
Season 6 details
Season six will conclude the story of Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) and her exploits in work, life and love, which in recent series have taken her across Europe. Shooting locations this time round include Greece, Monaco and Paris. Lily Collins previously hinted: "Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime."
Emily in Paris season 6 will release later this year on Netflix, though an exact date is yet to be announced.
