Plot Preview
HBO's preview shows Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) seated on the Iron Throne, trying to preserve her father Viserys I's legacy. Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) warns her to eliminate Daeron Targaryen as a rival claimant. Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) cautions Rhaenyra: "You may not rule and remain yourself. There is in you a door that must shut. You will do things that your heart would have recoiled from." Rhaenyra resists, saying "I dispute that I must become what I am not." Ormund Hightower (James Norton) remains a threat. The teaser ends with Rhaenyra gazing into a bonfire containing Greens' possessions.
