The hit Netflix series 'Heartstopper' will conclude with a feature-length film titled 'Heartstopper Forever,' set to premiere on the streaming platform on July 17, 2025. Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the movie will serve as the final chapter for the beloved characters.
Kit Connor and Joe Locke reprise their roles as Nick and Charlie, who now face the challenges of impending adulthood. With Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie growing more confident at school, the central question is whether their relationship can survive the transition to a long-distance dynamic.
The film picks up directly after the Season 3 finale, which saw the couple, along with some of their friends, take their relationship to a new level. Connor and Locke also serve as executive producers on the project, which is directed by Wash Westmoreland.
Oseman acknowledged that fans may feel 'a little apprehensive' about the shift to a movie format, as it will be significantly shorter than a full season. 'But once I began to see the entire vision, I knew it would be something even more beautiful than a regular season could achieve,' she said. 'We are feeling very ambitious about what is possible in a movie format. With no need for end-of-episode cliffhangers or a new twist every episode, every part of 'Heartstopper' can be elevated to a higher quality to create something memorable, sophisticated, and atmospheric.'
