3 Netflix horror films so good you won't look away this Halloween
3 Netflix horror films you won't look away from this Halloween

TV reviewer Luke Eccleston has shared three horror films currently on Netflix that he says viewers will "never forget" this Halloween. The 26-year-old reviewer from Wigan said: "Here are three films on Netflix that will make you feel so uncomfortable you'll want to look away, but you won't be able to."

Speak No Evil

The first recommendation is Speak No Evil, a horror-thriller starring James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Aisling Franciosi and Alix West Lefler. The film begins with polite small talk and spirals into something far darker.

Eccleston said: "This film is genuinely incredible. It follows this family who meets another family on holiday. After getting along, they invite them along to come to their house. But the family isn't what it seems at all. What comes next is truly horrifying."

The film is a slow-burn that grows tenser as each scene unfolds.

Creep

Next is Creep, a found-footage horror driven by an unpredictable central performance, with a dark sense of humour and a shifting sense of what's real. It stars Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice.

Eccleston explained: "This follows a man who hires a videographer to come round and video his last message. But when this guy's there recording him, he realises there's something not right about this guy."

He added: "This film doesn't go where you expect at all, so make sure you check it out."

Hush

The third pick is Hush, a home-invasion thriller starring Kate Siegel, John Gallagher Jr., Michael Trucco and Samantha Sloyan. Unlike other films with a similar plotline, its protagonist is deaf, forcing her to fight back using instinct and ingenuity rather than sound.

Eccleston said: "This films heightens every emotion, every scene, and it is such an incredible film. You need to go and see it right now."

All three films are currently available to stream on Netflix.
