At Trooping the Colour, the Prince and Princess of Wales's children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—once again charmed the public. The family, last seen on Easter Sunday, appeared on June 13 for the King's official birthday parade, with the children riding in the Ascot Landau carriage and later joining the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
George, who turns a teenager next month, looked more like a young man. The children's growing confidence was evident, with royal editor Emily Nash noting they are 'a little bit older and more aware they are on show' yet show no sign of being daunted. Nash attributes their poise to William and Kate's parenting, describing a 'loving and stable home life where they are free to be themselves.'
Prince William has previously emphasised the importance of family, stating in an Apple TV interview: 'For me, the most important thing in my life is family... if you don’t start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you're setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall.' This approach appears to be paying off as the children handle public appearances with increasing ease.
