Vernon Kay has continued to support Tess Daly, five months after they announced their separation. The TV host took to Instagram to celebrate his former partner, sharing a video of Tess and her business associate, Gayle Lawton, at their press event at the BoTree Hotel in London.

"@naiabeach making moves! Congratulations on another awesome collection," he enthused on Thursday (15 October). Vernon, who maintains a friendly relationship with Tess, has been an outspoken advocate for her swimwear line, albeit typically keeping a low profile with sporadic likes or comments.

Family unity after split

In recent times, Tess and Vernon, who confirmed the conclusion of their 22-year marriage in May, have demonstrated that they remain a family unit. Just last month, the mother-of-two posted a series of photos from their holiday in the South of France.

Seen dining in a restaurant alongside their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, Tess and Vernon seemed at ease in each other's presence. In fact, body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk that Tess appears to harbour "no hard feelings" towards her ex-partner.

"Vernon is at the centre of the pose, arms fully splayed in a gesture of easy confidence, and his arms held round behind the group suggest leadership and protection," she elaborated, reports the Express.

"That 'wings' spread seems to send out a signal that they are all one unified group with Vernon at the centre of the women's attention."

"He faces the camera straight on while the women lean in towards him. Tess especially angles herself to join his pose, hinting at a sense of 'no hard feelings' towards him."

James added: "The daughters look happy to 'surround' their dad too, to suggest they're happy to have him retain his role at the heart of the family group. They all look keen to boost him, to 'contain' him there in that role."

Statement on separation

When Tess and Vernon announced their separation, they made it clear that their daughters remain their main concern. "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably," they declared in May.

"This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority."

"There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together."
