Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to relocate to the UK within days, and opinions on their return are sharply divided. While some royal fans see personal benefits, such as Harry and his children spending more time with King Charles, others predict problems ahead.
Mixed feelings are also expected within the Royal Family itself. King Charles is reportedly pleased to see more of the family if they live on UK soil, something that has not happened since 2020. Others, however, may be hesitant to welcome them back. This likely includes Prince William, who has been estranged from his brother for years following Harry's criticisms of the Royal Family.
Two cousins reportedly delighted
Besides the King, two other members of the Royal Family are believed to be delighted that Harry and Meghan will be calling the UK home: Harry's cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
Harry, 41, has always been close to these cousins. He even bought a holiday home in Portugal not far from Eugenie, who has just welcomed her third child. Eugenie and her family have also visited Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet at their home in Montecito, California. Footage of this was shown briefly in the Harry and Meghan docuseries released in 2022.
Possible home in The Cotswolds
Harry and Meghan could be eyeing a home in The Cotswolds on their return, which would place them close to Beatrice, who lives in the area with her husband and two daughters. The exact location of their new home will not be confirmed due to security concerns, though it is believed to be a non-royal private residence.
Their children Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled in British schools ahead of the move, which will take place before the end of August. This is to allow the children enough time to settle before starting classes in September.
