Lara Trump Reveals Family's Simple Christmas Gift Tradition for Donald Trump
Trump's Cherished Christmas Gift: Framed Family Photos

Finding the perfect Christmas present for a former President of the United States might seem a daunting task, but the Trump family has perfected a simple, heartfelt tradition. Lara Trump, daughter-in-law to Donald Trump, has revealed the one gift they know he truly cherishes year after year.

The Fail-Safe Presidential Present

In an interview, Lara Trump admitted that buying for the leader of the free world can prove tricky. Despite the challenge, the family has settled on a reliable offering that always brings joy. Every year, Donald Trump receives framed photographs of his family with him. According to Lara, he genuinely likes them, and many end up displayed prominently on the desk behind him in the Oval Office during his presidency.

"He already knows this is coming," Lara stated. "This is the standard for him for Christmas and his birthday." The mother-of-two, who is married to Donald and Ivana Trump's youngest son, Eric, expressed that the desire to give something great back to a man who has given so much to the country makes the annual search a challenge, leading them back to this personal touch.

Holiday Festivities at Mar-a-Lago

The Trump family celebrations are set to be a grand affair. The extended clan is expected to attend Christmas Eve mass at Bethesda-by-the-Sea, the Palm Beach Episcopal church where Donald and Melania Trump were married. Lara noted that nearly the entire family plans to be there, with a growing number of children and grandchildren creating a festive scene.

The festivities will extend well beyond the immediate family. Lara predicted roughly 500 Mar-a-Lago members would take part, with celebrity guests likely to stop by as in previous years. For the grandchildren, a favourite holiday tradition involves dashing into their grandfather's office to raid his well-stocked candy stash. His desk at Mar-a-Lago, often called the 'winter White House,' is known to be filled with sweets like Starburst, fun-size Snickers, and M&Ms, with occasional king-size bars causing particular delight.

Personal and Patriotic Decorations

At home in Jupiter, Florida, Lara and Eric Trump embrace the season with a Christmas tree that blends sentimental value with political pride. The tree features handmade ornaments from their children's school years alongside official White House ornaments gifted during Trump's first term, some sent personally by Donald and Melania. Topping it all off is a distinctive flourish: the couple traditionally crowns their tree with a MAGA hat, and this year they placed two at the summit.

While the gift for the former president may be simple, it underscores a family holiday focused on personal connections, tradition, and a characteristically bold celebration of their shared identity.
