Tom Cruise has shared his three-word verdict on Prince William and Princess Catherine's marriage after spending time with them last week. The actor was with the Prince and Princess of Wales in London at the premiere of Digger, where he appeared alongside the future king and queen on the red carpet.

Summarising their marriage in three words, Cruise said: “William did well.” Speaking to Extra TV, he added: "I have so much respect for them, they are amazing people. You know, they’re amazing people, and how dedicated they are to their country and also what they give to the world. And they’re just beautiful people and fun, very funny."
He continued: "She's got an incredible sense of humour, very intelligent and fun. Will, way to go, smart choice. Got to give it to William, way to go."

When asked what he discusses with the royal couple, Cruise remained tight-lipped. He said: "We have private conversations, we talk about things that are between us."
