Disney has confirmed the release date for the live-action remake of Tangled: March 31, 2028. The announcement came as a first look at the film leaked online from the D23 fan event, showing the cast in costume and confirming filming in Spain.

A sneak peek was shared at a D23 fan event taking place this week, with the clip being leaked on social media, showing Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel. The clip also sees the cast confirm they are currently filming in Spain, appearing in their costume as they say hello to fans watching from the event.
The short clip sent fans into a frenzy, with many sharing their excitement. One person commented on Instagram: "This is the most perfect casting after Cinderella", as another admitted they "can't wait."
Fan Reactions
A third replied: "Feels like I’m watching Disneyland actors", as a fourth wrote: "I'm excited but I'm still sad that Antonio Cipriano wasn't casted as Flynn." But in disappointing news, they will be waiting a while as Disney Studios confirmed that the film will be released on March 31, 2028. Taking to Instagram, the Disney Studios account wrote: "Best day ever! Disney’s live-action Tangled is coming to theaters March 31, 2028."
