Stacey Solomon's touching message to new Pickle Cottage owner

Stacey Solomon has shared a touching message to the new owners of Pickle Cottage as she prepares to leave the property she has called her "dream home" for the past five years. The television personality posted a montage of cherished moments from her time at the Essex home on Instagram.

A montage of memories

The video compilation featured clips of Stacey decorating the property, alongside key milestones with her husband Joe Swash and their children. Among the highlights were the couple's wedding day and pregnancy shoots, as Stacey became a mum of five.

She emotionally captioned the post: "Thank You & Goodbye Pickle Cottage. A little montage of some of the best years of our lives…"

Forever grateful

She added: "We will forever be grateful for the last 5 years at Pickle. What a special place & how lucky we've been to have lived there. Memories that will last forever… Wishing all of the love & happiness to the new family who get to love Pickle Cottage. And here's to the next chapter…"

Stacey, 36, had appeared to be building her forever home at the £1.3million property, taking followers along on her renovation journey. But on Wednesday, she revealed the family had decided to move "imminently".

The decision to move

Quaint Pickle Cottage had been described as Stacey's "dream home" since she moved in. However, with her business portfolio now worth £10million, Stacey revealed the couple were looking to expand their land to grow crops and care for more animals.

It has not been revealed where the family will move to, but it is said to be somewhere "really, really different". She has dubbed the move the "Pickle Project".

In the video, Stacey told fans: "I actually can't believe I'm making this video, I tell you." Joe interjected: "Well, I tell you, she's been thinking about how she's going to say this, when she's going to say it, how people are going to feel about it."

"I don't even know why," Stacey continued. "Cos it's how am I going to feel about it. So we are - oh god - we are leaving Pickle Cottage. We're moving out of Pickle Cottage, which I knew I never ever thought I would say and - imminently!"

She explained the reason for keeping the news quiet: "And the reason we haven't said anything up until this point is because anyone who's ever moved knows what it's like. You don't know if it's going to happen til it actually happens. And also, leaving Pickle Cottage was a massive decision for us, so we had a lot of people we needed to speak to, we needed to get the kids around to the idea, we needed to speak to all of our lovely neighbours, our lovely friends in the area, Farmer Scott... There were so many people we needed to speak to before we told everybody."

"And then also, like, even the thought of selling Pickle Cottage felt like it would be impossible if everyone know we were selling Pickle Cottage. Does that make sense? So we've just waited until someone amazing came along and fell in love with Pickle Cottage."
