Queen Letizia, King Felipe, and their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia showcased a rare skill during a reception at Marivent Palace in Majorca this week. The royal family hosted local authorities for a dinner celebrating community efforts at their summer residence.
A video shared by Ana María Ruiz, president of the Mallorca Deaf Persons Association, captured the royal ladies using sign language. In the clip, Letizia, Leonor, and Sofia signed their names to the camera before raising their hands for 'applause.'
Ruiz wrote on the association's Facebook group: 'Yesterday I had the honour of attending the King's Reception at the Marivent Palace. It was a unique moment, even more special by the presence of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, who attended for the first time. As president of the Mallorca Deaf Persons Association, I had the opportunity to teach them some basic signs in sign language.'
