David Schumacher, nephew of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael and son of former F1 driver Ralf, has announced he and his wife Vivien are expecting their first child. The couple shared the news on Instagram with a photo showing them kissing in front of a mountain range, surrounded by a blanket, baby boots, and a teddy bear.

The caption read: "Love made us two, life is making us three." Within minutes, the post was flooded with congratulations from their combined following of over 150,000 fans. Among the well-wishers was Davina Geiss of the German reality TV family, who are close to the couple.
David and Vivien, a former racing driver who competed in the W Series and Formula 3 in 2019 under her maiden name Vivien Keszthelyi, have been together for many years. They confirmed their marriage in February this year, posting photos and saying they wed "surrounded by the love of our family and closest friends."
Family Background
The news comes just two months after David's father, Ralf, married his partner Etienne in Saint-Tropez. Ralf, who won six F1 races, came out as gay less than two years ago, making him one of the highest-profile F1 drivers to do so. He was previously married to David's mother, Cora, but they split in 2014. Cora publicly congratulated Ralf and Etienne on their marriage, saying: "Steven and I wish Ralf and Etienne all the best and much happiness."
The Schumacher family has maintained privacy since Michael suffered life-changing injuries in a skiing accident in December 2013. His condition remains largely unknown, but he continues to receive round-the-clock care at the family home in Switzerland.
