New claims about Sarah Ferguson have emerged, with former staff reportedly describing working for her as 'absolutely chaotic' and akin to being employed by 'fifty jealous lovers'. Royal author Andrew Lownie, in an interview with a US publication, claimed that morale among Ferguson's staff was so poor that many new recruits quit within half a day. He alleged that staff were found crying in bathrooms at Royal Lodge, where Ferguson lived for 26 years with her ex-husband Prince Andrew. Lownie also accused Ferguson of being wasteful with food, including ordering fresh cream cake daily and having meals prepared only to decide to eat out.
According to Lownie's book 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York', Ferguson rarely paid for items, expected free products, borrowed security from wealthy acquaintances, and sometimes failed to return lent couture or pay for ordered garments. One anecdote claims she once paid a psychic with cigarettes.
An insider told sources that Ferguson is 'furious and insisting the stories are unfair', but acknowledged she is in a 'very vulnerable position' regarding her reputation. The insider added that further allegations could be 'the nail in the coffin' for her public profile.
