Noel Gallagher's ex-wife has criticised Disney's new documentary following Oasis' Live 2025 tour, taking to social media hours after the London premiere.
The film charts the Gallagher brothers mending their relationship as they reunited for the band's live comeback. While "the music brought them together", scenes also show Liam going missing before their comeback show in Cardiff and only turning up minutes before they started playing, highlighting tension between the brothers right up to the tour kicking off.
Sara MacDonald's social media response
While parts of their life outside of Oasis are shown, a large chunk of Noel's is missing - including his relationship with publicist Sara MacDonald. The couple first met in 2000 at Space nightclub in Ibiza and, following his divorce from first wife Meg Matthews in 2001, dated for a decade before marrying in a private ceremony in June 2011. They divorced in 2023 and have two sons together, Donovan and Sonny.
While their boys appear in the documentary and supported their dad at the London premiere on Monday night, Sara took to social media to air her views. Posting to her Instagram stories yesterday, Sara wrote: "None of our story - and yes, 20 years of my life makes it my story - is Disney."
Noel's personal life in focus
While publicist Sara is not in the documentary, Noel's next girlfriend Sally Mash does appear in a number of crowd shots. The pair, who broke up in March this year, began dating in 2023 shortly after Noel's separation from Sara, and were frequently spotted out together at celeb haunts including The Chiltern Firehouse.
Noel shocked fans in January 2023 when he announced his second marriage was over after 11 years. The divorce settlement reportedly cost him an estimated £20million.
Speaking on Matt Morgan's Patreon Podcast, Noel spoke about his new life as a divorced man. He said: "I can get on the bike and go up to King's Cross, and go down to the canal. And get on the canal outside my wonderful ex-wife's house and give her a little wave, and go, 'You didn't take this from me!'"
Noel also addressed living a year in a £2,500-a-night suite at swanky hotel Claridge's following the end of his marriage as his wife stayed in their marital home in Hampshire. He continued: "I had some proper f**king good times there – it was a proper good time. I lived there for most of last year, I was there three or four nights a week."
Liam's comments on Sara
Liam has always had plenty to say about Noel's ex-wife Sara. In an interview with Q Magazine, Liam said: "[Noel's] desperate to get Oasis back but he knows he's crossed that bridge. I know for a fact, deep down, he wants to be playing stadiums... You can only play stadiums when I'm there.
"I don't think our kid's got it in him anymore, anyway. It seems to me like he's playing to the snobs and the world and the toffs." He added: "I'm not a songwriter. He's not meant to be in the middle of that f****** stage. I'm meant to be centre-stage and no-one can touch me."
