The Prince and Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance on Mike Tindall's podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, alongside Princess Anne. The four royals shared personal sporting anecdotes ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

During the podcast, William and Kate revealed they have taken part in parents' sports day events. William recalled a last-minute race where he finished second, despite being told it wasn't happening. Kate noted she competed barefoot but couldn't recall her finishing position.

The couple admitted to a fierce tennis rivalry, with Kate saying they have never finished a match. William confirmed they try to 'out mental' each other. Princess Anne observed that their children, George, Charlotte and Louis, are also developing competitive streaks.

Kate expressed disappointment at missing Andy Murray's gold medal match, while William spoke about the importance of sport for young people. Princess Anne shared a memory of racing a young William around Balmoral, calling it the only athletics she was good at due to corners.

On personal preferences, Kate revealed a love for cold-water swimming, though not ice baths. The podcast also touched on William's neutrality during the I'm a Celebrity vote, despite Mike Tindall's participation.
