Ralf Little, known for his roles in The Royle Family, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, and Doctor Who, was previously engaged to American playwright Lindsey Ferrentino. The couple met in 2025 when he appeared in a play she wrote that also starred his Death in Paradise co-star Kris Marshall.
Award-Winning Playwright
Lindsey received the Kesselring Prize in 2016, an award given to "up-and-coming" playwrights whose work shows "great promise." She later released the acclaimed play Amy and the Orphans, which was reportedly being adapted into a film for Netflix.
Ralf's Admiration and Jealousy
In 2020, Ralf told the Mirror: "She's doing annoyingly well. If we were ever going to be a power couple I'd have to seriously up my game." He added: "Her career is exploding in a way that makes me both incredibly proud, and obscenely jealous."
Discussing their relationship, he shared: "She's my best friend. This is the real thing for me. We have the longest of long-distance relationships, she lives in the States. It's like I have two lives."
Engagement and Split
Ralf and Lindsey got engaged in 2018. He told The Mirror: "We were in a country house, it was a big surprise. I planned it in advance. I had a total result with the ring, though. She said to me if she ever got engaged there's only one ring for her — her grandma's, it's absolutely beautiful."
On children, Ralf added: "I'm the last of my friends to have kids – everyone is starting to think it's a bit weird. I love the idea of kids, but we have to work out when."
By May 2024, it was reported that the pair had split, with Lindsey seen without her engagement ring.
