Queen Camilla at York Races After Harry and Meghan Return News

Queen Camilla has been pictured at York Racecourse for day three of the Sky Bet Ebor Festival, marking her first public appearance since the announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the UK within days.

The 78-year-old, who was not joined by King Charles, was seen in high spirits, dressed in bright pink and accessorised with a straw hat.

First Appearance Since Royal Return News

Her appearance comes just two days after her first visit to the races, which took place hours before Harry and Meghan's surprise news was announced. The couple stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and have been living in California with their two children since then.

Queen Camilla has also taken a break from the Royal Family's annual summer tradition at the Balmoral estate, where King Charles was pictured today—his first appearance since the news of his youngest son and daughter-in-law's return.

Move Details and King's Priorities

The couple are said to already have a home in place for their move and have enrolled Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet into a school, which they will start next month. The King was notified of the family's move just a few days before the public announcement on Wednesday evening.

Although he is said to be keen to spend more time with the family, including his two youngest grandchildren, the King's focus will remain on the monarchy and, according to a friend of the monarch, his relationship with his eldest son.

In her latest article for the Daily Mail, royal editor Rebecca English wrote: "His only interest is protecting and prioritising what's right for the monarchy and, particularly, what is right for his relationship with the Prince of Wales, says a friend."

His priorities remain with William as he is a working royal, whilst Harry and Meghan "are not".
