Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have announced they are expecting their second child, due in the summer. The couple, who already have a son named August, shared the news through a photograph released to the public.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the pregnancy, stating that the royal family is delighted. A spokesperson said: 'Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer. The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.'
The photograph, taken by Brooksbank, shows Eugenie in a woolly hat smiling as August, dressed in a burgundy winter hat and matching trousers, embraces her and kisses her bump. The baby will be 13th in line to the throne and will be a plain Miss or Master.
This will be the first great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II born since her death, arriving in the year of King Charles III's coronation. August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was born on 9 February 2021 at the Portland hospital in London.
